Combo of fresh and renowned team is getting kick started for 'Neelam' (Blue). Blue waves entertainment Renuka produces this movie. Popular short film director, Venkatesh Kumar makes his debut in Kollywood with this film. All his works are well-received by national and international level of audiences. His short films have even got nominated for DBICA film festival, Western union short film competition, BRICS international film festival and many others.

Cinematographer Ramalingam also makes his debut in this film and he has been assisting Kollywood cinematographer, Velraj for a long time. They both have worked together for films like Naan Rajavaga pogiren, Leelai and so on.

After Leelai and Kanimozhi, Sathish Chakravarthy has now finalized his third music composition project for 'Neelam'. Lyrics will be by Kavingar Arivumathi and Kavingar Yugabharathi.

Award winners K.L. Praveen and N. B. Srikanth will work on the editing part of the film. Kishore plays the lead role in the story while Sampathraj and Bala Singh play other important characters.
