Director Venkat Prabhu, after his successful outing with Mankatha starring Ajith, is busy shaping up his next project Biriyani. It will feature Karthi in the lead and will include actor Premji and Prasanna among others.

Continuing his success run, which started with his very first film, Chennai 28 has seen him make more successful flicks with each film despite taking a totally different outlook with the script each time. And now, Biriyani will bring the best of his comedy, already known to Tamil audiences and blend it with a thriller. It's yet another genre of film making for the director wants to step into.

Another unique aspect about the movie is that it will be Yuvan Shankar Raja' 100th film as a music director.
