Actor Rajnikanth was reportedly admitted to a private hospital in Chennai Monday to undergo some 'facial correction'. Though none of his family members confirmed the news, sources in the hospital said that the actor got himself admitted to the hospital on Monday evening. Initially, it was suggested that it was for a routine check-up and he would return home after the tests.

Sources now say that the actor is still in the hospital and is all set to under go some plastic surgery on his lips. The lips of the actor had acquired an unhealthy white coat perhaps due to his chain smoking habit. The surgery, it is said, is to make it look normal. There is no official word either from the actor's side or the hospital on the cosmetic surgery. But media men who thronged the hospital here after reports of Rajni's admission there were told that he was on the fourth floor and the surgery was scheduled for Tuesday.

It may be recalled that Rajnikanth has announced his new film Jaggubhai that will go to floors from next month. Rajni, who was criticized for looking sallow in his last flick Baba, is perhaps working on his looks and physique for his new film. The lip surgery may be part of the efforts.
