Director Karu Palaniappan is coming back again with an interesting and unique story, 'Jannal Oram'. Getting chatty on the movie, he reveals what the story will be like. "The story is based on a bus that plies from Pannaikadu to Palani. Parthiban is cast as the bus driver and Vimal plays the role of bus conductor. When a town or village has a new inhabitant like a driver or a postman, the guest tends to feel accustomed to the place, and considers himself to be an innate part of the town. But that is not the case with the hosts. When there is a problem, people generally tend to alienate the new comer, leaving them to solve their own problems. The story is based on similar grounds and how the lead characters recoup to normalcy" says the director. The star cast of the film, which is a remake of a Mollywood super hit, also has Vidharth, Manisha and Poorna. The director also added that though the story may seem centred on a specific set of characters, the film has equal weightage for each role in it.

Apart from direction, Karu Palaniappan has also signed as a hero for a movie directed by his assistant Amalraj. Titled 'Mr and Mrs Kalyanam', the story is said to be based on how life takes a turn after a marriage that was said to be a happily ever after.
