Jai Akash awaits with anxiety for his next release Ramakrishna, which is being directed by Agathiyan. In the meantime, this young actor, who was introduced by K Balachander in Rojavanam, has offers coming his way. Apart from a couple of Telugu ventures, he is currently busy playing lead roles in Tamil movies - Gurudeva and Sevvel.

Jay Akash says, ‘in Sevvel, I act along with Raj Kiran. While in Guru Deva, I have been assigned a happy-go-lucky youngster’s role’. In Gurudeva, actress Pranathi who made her debut in Sarath Kumar’s Gambheeram is also in the lead. Nasser, Illavarasu, Riyaz Khan, Dhamu and Muthukalai are also in the cast. Sabesh and Murali are scoring the music, while the stunts are by ‘Jaguar’ Thangam. The story, screenplay, dialogues and direction are by Jaffer. He had penned the script for the successful Malayalam movie Natchatra Thallatu, a couple of years ago. The movie had featured Kunchako Bobban and Shalini in the lead.

Asked about the venture, Jai Akash, says, ‘it’s been my dream to play the lead in such a script. After a good role in Ramakrishna, I am happy to act in a such a meaty role in Gurudeva’. ‘My recently- released Telugu movie Anandha Anandha Mayee has been doing well in Andhra Pradesh. However, I would concentrate on a better career in Tamilnadu’.
