The music of "Vasoolraja M.B.B.S." has been as successful as the movie, a big victory for Bharadwaj who has been trailing behind Vidyasagar for some time now.

The top five Tamil albums are:

1. "Vasoolraja M.B.B.S." (Music by Bharadwaj): The success of the album, topping the charts for weeks, is mainly because of two people -- Bharadwaj, the music director, and Kamal Haasan, the singer. The songs sung by Kamal Haasan, "Kalakkap Povathu Yaaro" and "Alwarpetai Aaluda", are huge successes. So is the title track "Sakalaka Doctor" sung by Bharadwaj, Arjun and Donan.

2. "4 Students" (Music by Jassie Gift): The combination of the unusual voice of Jassie Gift and the unusual beats has made the album a big hit. With each passing day, all the songs sung by Jassie Gift, "Lajjavathiye", "Ballae Ballae" and "Annakkili" are becoming more and more popular in Tamil Nadu.

3. "Madhurey" (Music by Vidyasagar): The title song of the film "Machchan Peru Madhurey" may not be as popular as "Appadi Podu" of "Gilli" but the song by Shankar Mahadevan is turning out to be a hit with the youngsters. No other song from the album is worth any mention.

4. "Chellamey" (Music by Harris Jayaraj): The success of the film has got a lot to do with this Harris Jayaraj album becoming a success. Though "Chellamey" does not have the magic of "Kaakha Kaakha", the songs in the album are topping the charts regularly these days.

5. "7-G Rainbow Colony" (Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja): As in the case of "Chellamey", the album is expected to go back to its top slot with the release of the film. The music of "7-G Rainbow Colony" by Yuvan Shankar Raja is a class apart from the usual film albums released at regular intervals.
