Sri Vidya Interview

2014 we can be said as the year of Sri Divya How do you feel about Lathapandi becoming the most loved girl by tamil audience?

I can't express in words how I feel and I thank the Tamil audience for accepting me with such open hands and I would also like to thank my directors for giving me such lovely roles especially director Ponram, Ezhil, Suseenthiran, Ravi and Mani.

How did the perfect chemistry with Siva Karthikeyan happen?

The reason the chemistry worked out well was because Sivakarthikeyan is a very good actor who shared great comfort level with me.

Siva Karthikeyan is known for his sense of humor, how is he on the sets?

He is the same on and off sets and I used to have a jolly good time working with him.

Which quality in Siva do you think brought him to this level? And Your view on his Huge success as a top star now?

Sivakarthikeyan is very talented, hardworking, very dedicated and always gives his hundred percent at all times. For every single scene he would put in a lot of effort to get it right and today he is at the top and he deserves it .

The roles in VVS` and Ka`aki Sattai` are entirely different to each other, which character do you relate the most Latha pandi or Divya?

I like both the characters. Lathapandi is close to my heart because of her naughtiness and innocence. Divya is a little more matured and I got a folk song

in the film thanks to Brinda master. Both the characters are different and I cannot choose between the two.

You are doing a role of a school girl one more time in Pencil and you look very apt for the character, Do people book you immediately if the story has a school girl character (just kidding) How much do you enjoy doing the role of a school girl? Any old memories?

I feel very pleasantly about that. I have already done the role of a school girl in three movies. I guess it is my age that suits it. Because of acting I missed my school days and it is the movies that give me back the experience.

The experience of working with GV Prakash in Pencil`?

G.V. Prakash sir is like a kid. He is very open and working with him is a fresh experience with a lot of childishness in it.

Actually pencil was his first movie as an actor, how he is in front of camera on the initial days?

GV is a very sweet person it will be musical to work with him. He has done a great job and I am very happy that Darling` is a big hit and now I saw the Trisha Illana Nayanthara` trailer and loved it. I wish him all the best

How you rate the acting of GV Prakash , who is actually a music composer?

I was waiting to see him act as I am a very big fan of his music. For his first Movie only for a couple of days he had some confusion, but after that he did a great job and when the film comes out everyone will appreciate.

Seeing the trailer, your role seems to be very strong in the movie, Can you talk about your role in the movie?

I play Maya in the film and it is a bold character which appears throught the film and there is a lot of scope for acting. I will say my favourite character is Maya.
