Better bet as a baddie

You just can't keep Sathyaraj away from it. Or so it seems.

The veteran actor is back with a film that takes dig on contemporary politics. Sathyaraj who has developed a liking for political spoofs, as his movies on such themes have never failed to succeed at the box-office.

His Amaithi Padai where he played a dual role ---- one as an honest policeman and other a corrupt politician ---- won him critical acclaims. His recent Maha Nadigan too touched a similar theme and did manage to have a decent run.

The actor who is busy with half-a-dozen films in his kitty is now acting in a political spoof.

The movie titled Kootani Aatchi is fast progressing.

Interestingly, Sathyaraj plays a dual role in the movie - a hero and the villain himself. A politician and a youth, who exposes the other side of a corrupt politician.

Newcomer Lakshmanan is directing the movie. As usual the movie would have typical Sathyaraj 'lollu' all through.

Sources close to Sathyaraj say impressed by the script of Kootani Aatchi, he has shelved his Perumal Samy and given bulk dates for the movie.

Sathyaraj as a villain is always a better bet than Sathyaraj the hero.
