Now that the hype and hoopla over Chandramukhi and Mumbai Xpress are over, the next big thing in the industry is Anniyan.

This being Shankar and Vikram's film, the expectations are sky-high. Shankar, as his wont, has kept details of his films a closely guarded secret.

But now that the audio has been released (and has been a best-seller since its launch), slowly details about the film are emerging.

The news is that Vikram's character (and he is set to come in three get-ups) makes a crusade against the corruption in the body politic of the nation. The movie has many parts and starts off slowly from the musical town of Thiruvaiyaru and picks up momentum and magic soon.

Though Shankar is reluctant to talk about the film, he says it has all the ingredients and some surprises to make it big. "Anniyan is the story of an innocent man," he says tersely.

Vikram, who grew his hair long for the film, also feels the same way.

The heroine Sada is not just a glamour puss in the film, unit hands say. One of the attractions of the film, they say, is Raviverman's camera work.

Harri Jeyarja's re-recording is also being talked of highly Yana Gupta shakes her legs and other things for one song (Kadha Yanai) with Vikram.

The film is still in the post-production stage and Shankar is keen that every element of the film is near perfect.

Meanwhile, one of the rumors floating in the industry is since the movies released on Tamil New Year's day have been doing a decent business and a host of movies including Karka Kasa Dara and Kana Kanden are releasing this week, Anniyan may be further delayed.
