Losing hair means many things to many people.

But in Tamil films, it is a symbol of good luck.

And now Surya is to join the list of actors who have tonsured their head in a film.

He will be tonsuring the head for his lead role in the movie Ghajini directed by Murugadoss.

It may be recalled that Ajith who was supposed to play the hero in Ghajini backed out at the last moment after refusing to tonsure his head for the role.

Murugadoss says "Surya deserves appreciation for he is ready to give his best shot in every frame. He has rendered a remarkable performance in Ghajini". And is ready to lose his hair too, he might have said.
