Captain makes his moves

'Captain' Vijayakanth, who is busy preparing himself to take the plunge into politics, was in Kumbakonam on Sunday.

He was there to console the families of the school fire tragedy that claimed the lives of around hundred young children.

Vijayakanth who assured a relief of Rs 10 lakh then, chose to hand over the assistance to the families Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijayakanth said "what happened in Kumbakonam was a bitter lesson.

By closing all unapproved educational institutions, the government has done a good thing. Everybody should cooperate with the State government's move".
