The Chennai-Kanchipuram Tamil Film Distributors Association president Arulpathy has urged those opposing the release of Kushboo's films to allow distributors to have the films released in Arcot districts.

It may be recalled that her controversial remarks on pre-marital sex in an interview to a magazine has resulted in protests by PMK and DPI cadres, who have threatened the release of her forthcoming movies.

With her Vettrivel & Sakthivel and June R completed and ready for release, Arulpathy has made a plea to the political parties urging them not to block their releases since the distributors have paid huge money and bought them.

PMK cadres had ransacked a theatre, which screened Baba and also threatened the release of Vijayakanth's Gajendra last year.

But with protests mounting against PMK and other parties,Kushboo may get a reprieve.
