With sequels being the order of the day in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi movies, buzz is that veteran director K Balachander is keen to embark on a mission to do a sequel to one of his movies.

The master craftsman had directed over 100 movies and is currently busy directing his 101st titled Poi for his protege Prakash Raj. He was selected for several honors by both the State and the Central government.

It may be recalled that his master piece Sindhu Bhairavi had a sequel in the form of a mega-serial Sahana on small screen. However the movie that KB had chosen for sequel is not known immediately.

In his career spanning several decades, Balachander has worked with the likes of MGR and Sivaji and was instrumental in grooming talents like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan besides introducing over 60 new faces.
