After keeping quiet for a long time, actor and president of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam Vijayakanth on Sunday opened his heart out.

Having learnt few lessons in his short career so far as politician, Vijayakanth heaped praises on Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa by stating that the State government has been taking quick and prompt measures in providing flood relief.

On the forthcoming Assembly polls, Vijayakanth said, 'we are geared up to face the polls. It is certain that we would contest in over 120 seats. I am not worried about political leaders making comments on my style of functioning. I am here to care for the masses'.

Further, he said all the 12 Ministers from Tamilnadu at the Central government had not been functioning properly to convince the Centre and get more funds allotted for flood relief.
