Director Samuthirakani, who made his debut on the silver screen with Unnai Saran Adaithen and followed it up with Neranja Manasu, is back again working with his mentor K Balachander.

Samuthirakani, who directed a tele-serial for KB, is now working as his associate in the veteran director's 101st directorial venture Poi which stars Uday Kiran in the lead role and being produced by Prakash Raj.

Also Samuthirakani is working as assistant to director Ameer in his Paruthi Veeran.

Keeping himself busy, Samuthirakani is directing the popular game show Thanga Vettai on Sun TV being hosted by actress Ramya Krishnan.
