Jeyam Ravi, Bhavana and the crew involved in the making of Deepavali had a close shave on Thursday when they ventured into deep sea to shoot for a scene at Royapuram.

According to reports, director Ezhil along with his crew had been to the interior parts of the sea at Royapuram to shoot a scene featuring Jeyam Ravi and Bhavana for his Deepavali on Thursday morning.

Unfortunately it rained so badly all throughout the day that the whole unit was struck in the sea waiting for the rains to settle down to return to the land.

Caught in bad weather, the crew had to reach the shore only after battling the waves for over four hours.

It may be recalled that the shooting of Deepavali resumed recently after Jeyam Ravi recovered from chickungunya.

Now the shoot has been hampered by bad weather.

Being produced by director Lingusamy, Deepavali is set for Pongal release.
