Director Hari is busy shooting his Thamirabarani at AVM Studios in Chennai. The Vishal-Banu starrer is slated for a release this Pongal.

Talking to media persons at the AVM Studios on Tuesday, Hari said,"The movie is an action-packed entertainer laced with humor. Vishal plays Bharani in the movie. The movie deals about events that occur in a strife-torn region in Thirunelveli."

Hari was all praise for Vishal. He says that though Vishal started his career as an assistant director, he never interfered in the director's work. He does what the director wants from him.

Speaking on the occasion, Vishal said, "I rarely ventured to do comedy in my earlier movies. Thamirabarani has comedy sequences and I hope they have come out well."

"Vishal has not disappointed action-lovers either. There are half-a-dozen stunt sequences and all have come out good," he adds.

Debutant Banu, a look-alike of Nayantara says, "I am happy to be part of such a big project. Hope my career takes off in the right way."

The popular devotional song 'Karpura Nayakiye Kanakavalli' has been remixed in the movie.

Meanwhile, the audio of Thamirabharani is ready and will be launched tomorrow.
