Shreya, the latest darling of Kollywood cinema, has come a long way.

Born in Haridwar, the actor had the fortune of acting in a music album which propelled her to try her luck in Tollywood. A spate of hit films helped her get a chance to act in the Tamil film Mazhai.

Says Shreya, “Mazhai changed the course of my life. Impressed with my acting skills in Mazhai, director Shankar assigned me the lead role opposite no lesser person than Rajinikanth himself in Sivaji. It was a dream come true experience for me to have acted with Rajinikanth, the Superstar of Indian cinema.”

On her experiences working in the movie, the young actor says, “I was bowled over by Rajinikanth’s simplicity and Shankar's dedication to excel in every frame.”

A Kathak dancer, Shreya has a spate of films waiting for her in Tamil. She is paired with Vijay in Azhagiya Tamizh Magan and also has a couple more, including a film with Vikram.

Shreya says, “I am not bothered about success or failures. I take things as they come. I give my best and leave the rest to Almighty.”

Not averse to do glamour roles, Shreya says, “Unless it does not turn vulgar, I don't mind doing glamour roles. But I would love to do comedy roles.”
