Suriya is busy shooting for Vel. Directed by Hari, the movie features Suriya in the rustic rural youngster who fights for a cause.

Suriya says, ‘ It would be a commercial entertainer. A typical Hari film, it has all ingredients to appease fans of all sections’.

After Ghajini, Suriya joins hands with Asin again for Vel.

Suriya is simultaneously working for Varanam Aayiram which is directed by Gowtham Menon.

When queried whether Jyothika will return to acting, Suriya says, “It is for her to decide. If she is keen to continue to act, I have no hesitation”.

Jyothika starrer Chandramukhi has successfully completed 800 day run and a mega function will be held in Chennai on 25 June in which Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will take part.
