Vishal sustained serious injuries while he was shooting for Malaikottai in Chennai on Tuesday.

A stunt sequence was shot at Film City by director Boopathy Pandian, featuring Vishal and Priyamani.

At one moment, the actor slipped and fell from the two-wheeler and sustained serious injuries. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital where he was provided immediate attention. He underwent few stitches in his leg and was advised complete rest by the doctors. The shooting has been cancelled and Vishal was discharged from the hospital.

Malaikottai is directed by Boopathy Pandian and it features Vishal and Priyamani in the lead roles.
