P Vasu to handle Billa in Telugu

Billa, a yesteryear classic of Super Star Rajnikanth is being remade in Tamil starring Ajith.

Directing the movie is young Vishnuvardhan. Nayanthara and Namitha play the heroines in the movie. Meanwhile, efforts are on to produce the movie in Telugu now.

Buzz is that P Vasu has been approached to wield the megaphone for the Telugu remake of the movie.

Vasu says, “Billa was inspired by Hindi hit Don. It was also remade in Telugu in 1979 starring N T Ramamrao. Now the remake culture bringing fortunes, plans are on to come up with a new version in Telugu now. Playing the title role would be NTR Junior”.

The movie would go to floors in January, 2008.
