The blockbuster Tamil movie Pithamagan is being remade in Kannada starring Upendra in Vikram's role. Pithamagan directed by Bala went on to become a huge hit and even fetched Vikram the national award for the best actor.
In the Kannada remake version Sangavi is playing the role which Sangeetha featured in Tamil.
However for an item song in which Simran appears herself, the director has opted for Ramba.
Ramba, a once popular heroine in Tamil and Kannada filmdom, has danced for a song shot in remote villages in Karnataka.
