Will Kamal get a place in Madame Tussauds?

Kamal Haasan, the versatile actor and a unique artist who relish exploring new avenues in acting, is aiming for a distinctive place for himself in the world of cinema. His fans, however, seek him a place in prestigious Madame Tussauds located in London. They have started a campaign through Internet to pursue the authorities of the reputed museum to have a waxwork of Kamal Haasan.

Some fans have posted an appeal to the authorities in the website named PetitionOnline.com, saying that having Kamal, the “Legend of Indian Cinema” would be a great honour to the museum. The appeal, signed by around 570 persons across the world so far, also claims that the waxwork of “Dr.Kamal Haasan would definitely attract a huge number of crowd to Madame Tussauds”.

The appeal gives an exhaustive account of various honors and awards received by Kamal Haasan for his outstanding contribution to the cinema.

It is worth mentioning here that the prestigious museum that showcases legendary figures from all over the world in all walks of life has already had the waxworks of Indian film personalities including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Sharukh Khan. It also plans to open wax replica of Salma Khan in January 2008. Having the wax replica of Kamal Haasan, a relentless pursuer of excellence in various fields of cinema, would definitely be a worthwhile addition to the prestigious assembly of outstanding personalities.
