Chief Minister M Karunanidhi launched the movie ‘Thai Kaviyam’ at a grand function in Chennai on Sunday. This film is based on a novel written by the chief minister with the same name drawing inspiration from Maxim Gorkey's ‘Mother’.

The movie stars Pa Vijay and a new comer in the lead roles, Directed by Bali Srirangam, the movie has musical score by Vidyasagar.

'Thai Kaviyam' has Kushboo playing mother to Pa.Vijay. Initially Radhika was approached for this role on Chief Minister’s request but, later Kushboo was finalized.

It can be recalled that Kushboo was approached to play Trisha’s mom for ‘Abhiyum Naanum’ but she refused for some reason.

The highlight of the film is said to be an eight minute non-stop dialogue which will be spoken by the hero Pa.Vijay!

According to sources in the crew the non stop dialogue of Pa.Vijay would definitely earn him accolades. It was also reported that a distributor has come forward and booked the film for fifty lakhs for Trichy, Tanjore area.
