Kathavarayan is gearing up fast

Karan, who has become one of the favorites of small budget ventures, is expecting his forthcoming film 'Kathavarayan' to be released soon. Directed by debutant director Salangai Durai, a former associate of K Bhagyaraj, the movie is shaping up fast.

'Kathavarayan' has newcomer Vidisha and ‘Sundara Travels’ fame Radha in key roles. ‘Kadhal’ fame Dhandapani plays the baddie in the movie.

Addressing the media persons in Chennai on Wednesday, Salangai Durai said, “The movie will be a hilarious entertainer and the title role is tailor-made for Karan.” Vidisha, who has acted in half-a-dozen Telugu movies, is cast as a college student who falls in love with Karan.

The shooting took place in Hogenakkal where illicit arrack brewers are still operating. The unit feels that the movie would be an engrossing fare and it would surely delight the masses.

Srikanth Deva scores the music and Karthik Raja handles the camera.
