A Tamil film will be shot in the zero point of Indo – China border. The film, titled as ‘Aanandam Aayiram’, will be directed by Chithirai Chelvan, who directed Agra which was released during the Deepavali last year. He handles the camera as well.

The shooting will be undertaken in Yumthang (Sikkim), the zero point of Indo – China border. The unit has got special permission to conduct the shooting in this spectacular and sensitive place. The place is located in the hill area of Kanjanjanga at 15000 feet, above the sea level.

The movie revolves around the love affair of a soldier, who works in the border security force in Yumthang. Antony Adolf writes the script.

A leading hero, whose name is yet to be finalized, will take up the leading role. All the others would be newcomers. The selection of the cast is going on in a full swing. C.S. Balu, who did the music for Agra, will be the music director for this film too.

Sasankaran, Rahim, K.J. and Sayeed jointly produce ‘Aanandam Aayiram’ under the banner of Rangila Enterprises. The big budget movie will be made in Tamil and Malayalam simultaneously.

There is an interesting story behind the project. Chithirai Chelvan, who went to shoot a tele film in the area for Vasantham TV, was awestruck by the splendor of the place. He thought that it would be great if he could make a full length feature film in the area.

It is how the idea of ‘Aanandam Aayiram’ born. The shooting will commence on February 6.
