Vijayakanth’s ‘Arasangam’, which is ready to hit the screens by April 11, is not a film in which the Captain chases the terrorist. He revealed this in the audio launch function held on March 28 in Chennai. “I am not chasing the terrorists in the film. It is a police story. Since police department comes under government control we have opted for the title”, said the Captain.

Director Madhesh showered praise on the actor for his dedication in his work. Vijayakanth, according to the director, is an actor, who doesn’t want to waste producer’s money. He recalled an incident that took place during the shooting in Canada. The director and the producer insisted Vijayakanth to go back to Chennai when the later fell sick. Captain, however, refused to go back and cooperated to the shooting despite his ill health.

The cadres of Vijayakanth’s DMDK have made a history by purchasing around one lakh audio CDs of ‘Arasangam’. More orders are expected to come, informed Vijayakanth.

Srikanth Deva, who has scored the music for the movie, has completed 50% of the rerecording of the film.
