Indian cinema of late is stuck in the whirlpool of commercialism with script driven movies disapparating then and there. Most flicks have the laid down rules of roping in popular stars for high remunerations, lavish sets, captivating foreign locales and extensive promotions. Our very own Tamil cinema is no different and we saw a slew of packed entertainers in 2008. Yet, a few stood apart in the list like 'Vellithirai', 'Raman Theediya Seethai' and 'Poo'.

Moser Baer, the production company was determined to make quality cinema and they did. All the above said movies they made were watch worthy family entertainers. Even though, critics acclaimed the films, as a matter of fact commercially they didn't do well at the box office. With no other go, the production house is now going to join the league of ordinary mass movies. Their upcoming venture will be an out-n-out masala entertainer with all the needed ingredients to please the crowd.

Joining hands in this new trend with Moser Baer is director Sasi who recently made the heartfelt love story 'Poo'. Sasi for the first time is gearing up to direct an action flick which will be produced by Moser Baer. All his love stories like 'Roja Kootam', 'Sollamale' and 'Dishyum' received only a lukewarm response from the audience. So, it seems he's ready to prove his mettle by making a commercial hit.

'The movie will be based on a city backdrop. I am planning to bring out a full fledged action movie. So, right now I am working meticulously to create a sensible plot for the film. We haven't finalized the lead cast yet and the movie will go to the floors in May,' says Sasi.

Reuters inside have reportedly said that Arya was approached and he has agreed to enact the movie, if his dates permit him.
