If ‘Ayan’ has turned out to be the interesting stylish flick that it is, all credit to director and actor Suriya, says actress Tamannah. “Suriya is a thorough professional and a brilliant actor and I have always been his great fan. So I was delighted for the offer to work with him. He is a great actor and yet, is so humble, which is something I’d like to learn from seniors like him,” says the actress.

Speaking about director KV Anand, she calls him a great director. “He was always engrossed about making the film, and was eating, sleeping and drinking Ayan. And being a cinematographer, he also took utmost care in making us look our best,” she adds.

Making a special mention of the “Nenje Nenje”, she said it was a hard song to shoot. “We wanted to can it in Namibia. Being a desert, temperatures were at their extreme, even 10 degrees. The location was captured beautifully by MS Prabhu and KV Anand.”

“I’ve worked with good directors like Shekar Kamulla, Lingusamy and KV Anand and learnt from their experience. But I want to work with more such directors, here and in Telugu. They gave me my big break, and so I want to concentrate more on Tamil and Telugu,” Tamannah says, adding that Bollywood is not a priority. “I’m not going searching there, but if something comes my way I might consider it,” she says.

Tamannah is currently working on ‘Paiya’, which she says, is planned for a Diwali release.
