Actor Madhavan, who seems more Bollywood bound than inclined to do a Tamil film, has openly spoke about the path his career is taking. The Alaipayudhay actor, who hasn’t been able to deliver big hits after Rendu, says he is unhappy with usual scripts he receives in Tamil cinema.

The industry still regards him as the Chocolate Boy but Maddy sure says he has moved out of that phase. I’m not keen in doing the same old roles in usual films in Tamil, the actor told at a recent media briefing. His ensemble of projects includes movies of different genres, including Teen Patti and Three Idiots in Hindi, which he finds challenging.

But my Hindi film commitments don’t mean I am not going to do a Tamil movie again. I have decided to agree to do two Tamil films every year. These will be different projects like Yaavarum Nalam. Else, it will be more Hindi films for mest, ays the actor, who is currently working in a film with Big B, Teen Patti. Going by that count, the actor, whose Yaavarum Nalam and Guru En Aalu just hit the screens this year, has a good one year to take up another Tamil film.
