Divya Spandana aka Ramya would play Prakash Raj’s daughter in the Kannada remake of ‘Abhiyum Naanum’, if sources are to be believed.

The actor who produced the film in Tamil will be directing the Kannada version as well. This would be Prakash's first film as a director. When Prakash asked Ramya to play his daughter in the movie, the actress accepted the offer immediately, it is said.

Interestingly, the role has many layers and Ramya has decided to reduce weight to look like a school girl, it is learnt. A tale of a father and a daughter, the original version had the actor playing the dad with Trisha playing the daughter.

The film was also dubbed in Telugu as ‘Akasamantha’. Both the versions won laurels from the audience besides rave review from the media. It is said that works for the Kannada version would start soon.
