It’s been quite some time now since first-class Tamil cinemas attracted Bollywood. Same way, Bollywood is happy to welcome Tamil films with good story just like how they like Tamil masala films.

The reason why we took this topic is because of the big business that Bala’s ‘Pithamagan’ has done in the North... Oh yeah the remake right of Vikram, Suriya starrer ‘Pithamagan’ was sold for a whooping 3 crores.

The big man who bought the right for such a big amount is popular Hindi director Sathish Kaushik. In fact, Sathish Kaushik is a good friend of director Bala. He is the one who helped Bala in many ways when he was shooting for ‘Naan Kadavul’ with Arya in Kaasi. Sathish Kaushik is the one who remade Bala’s maiden venture ‘Sethu’ in Hindi.

Sources close the directors reveal that talks are on to rope in Sanjay Dutt for the role (Sithan) enacted by Vikram and Ranbir Kapoor for the role (Shakthivel) enacted by Suriya.

Even if it’s remade, Bala’s touch is the one which that can retain the life of the movie, we feel...

Of course, can any one work for years together in one single project?
