A week ago, there was a press release from producer Kalpathi S Agoram’s office that he would start a host of new ventures and one among them would be directed by K V Anand, the ‘Ayan’ man.

The release however said the star cast of Anand’s film would be announced later. Sources now say that the hero of the movie is none other than Karthi Sivakumar, the younger brother of Suriya, the lead man of ‘Ayan’.

“Anand shares a very good rapport with Suriya and his family. Also he admired Karthi a lot after watching ‘Paruthiveeran’. These things made him to rope in the young actor for his forthcoming movie,” sources say.

Script is as usual by the Suba duo, the favourite writers of the cinematographer-filmmaker. A hunt is on for the heroine, it is said. A formal announcement on the venture is expected soon.

Karthi, who is eagerly expecting the release of ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ in which he has acted in Selvaraghavan’s direction, is currently sharing the sets with Tamannah for ‘Paiya’. The film is directed by Lingusamy.
