Roopa Manjari, the 'Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru' girl, has ventured into Mollywood now. She is playing the lead role in a movie titled 'Tournament', directed by popular Malayalam filmmaker Lal.
If sources are to be believed, Lal auditioned a number of new faces before zeroing in on Roopa. "He decided to settle for the Kollywood actress after he felt satisfied with her looks and talent", sources say.
'Tournament' is tipped to be a road-movie that deals with eight boys and a girl. With Manu, Johan, Fahad Fazil, Prajan, Aryan and Praveen in the male lead roles, the film is shaping up in a brisk manner.
Fahad Fazil is the son of ace director Fazil and the lad has shown his acting talent in his first few movies such 'Kaiyethum Doorathu', 'Kerala Café' and Pramani etc. And 'Tournament' is expected to give a break to him.
