Thamizhvanan, who has directed films like S J Suryah-starrer ‘Kalvanin Kadhali’ and Jeevan starrer ‘Machchakaran’, is all set to enter wedlock. He will tie the knot with Smitha on February 13.

The filmmaker is currently busy with ‘Nandhi’, a village-based ‘emotional’ movie starring Akil, who has acted in ‘Kalloori’ and ‘Valmiki’ and Sanuksha of ‘Renigunta’ fame in lead roles.

“Thamizhvanan’s marriage is being arranged by elders in his family. Smitha is a Sri Rangam-based girl. Their wedding will take place in Mayiladuthrai,” say sources close to the director.

“The filmmaker is expected to hold a reception in Chennai. After the release of Nandhi, he will make a formal announcement on his forthcoming movie,” they further say, adding: “Before that, Nandhi will be a turning point in his career”.
