Chief Operating Officer of Sun Pictures W Hansraj Saxena who was arrested on a cheating and intimidation case on Wednesday filed a bail plea in the Madras High Court.

Meanwhile, three of Saxena's 'associates' Mohammed Sadiq, K Sasi Kumar and V Thambidurai, who were arraigned as accused along with him, were granted anticipatory bail by Justice G Rajasuria on Wednesday.

Saxena had said that Sun TV Network was a "reputed concern and has got high moral responsibilities towards society and he (Saxena) has not committed the alleged cowardly act as alleged by the prosecution".

Following a complaint from T Selvaraj of Kandan Films in Salem, Saxena was arrested by the KK Nagar police for alleged offences under various sections, including 428 and 506(ii) of the IPC, and remanded in judicial custody on July 3.
