Mani Ratnam has completed shooting for his forthcoming film 'Kadal', which marks the acting debut of Karthik's son Gautham Karthik and Radha's younger daughter Tulasi Nair.

"The shooting is completely over and the director will soon start post production works. He is expected to complete it in a month or so," say sources close to the unit.

Oscar winner A R Rahman has composed music for 'Kadal', and he is said to have come up with great songs. "Vairamuthu has penned powerful lines, throwing light on the pains of fishermen," sources said.

Aravind Samy is doing a crucial role in 'Kadal', while Arjun will be seen as a tough Navy officer. "Like Mani Ratnam's earlier films, 'Kadal' will deal a serious issue in a touching way."
