'Neer Paravai' lyrics changed

A few words from a song in 'Neer Paravai', National Award winning director Seenu Ramasamy's next movie, have been deleted following opposition from some Christian organisations.

The song 'Para Para...', penned by Vairamuthu and set to tune by Raghunanthan, had words such as 'Sthothiram' and 'Sathiyamum Jeevanum'.

A few Christian organisations were not in favour of using these words in a film song and conveyed their opposition to the movie's producer (Udhayanidhi Stalin) and director.

Following this, these words have been deleted from the song. 'Neer Paravai' revolves around the lives of fishermen in southern Tamil Nadu and has Vishnu, Sunaina and Nandhita Das in lead roles.
