Jaggubhai is not shelved: Ravikumar

Director K S Ravikumar, who will be wielding the megaphone for Rajni starrer Jaggubhai has denied reports that appeared in sections of the press stating that Rajnikanth-starrer has been shelved. The director asserted that the film's shooting will begin as per schedule and would be ready for release, next January.

Speaking on behalf of actor Rajnikanth, who is off to Hyderabad, Ravikumar said 'we are on schedule with regard to Jaggubhai. The story is also ready. I am going for a vacation with my family to Malaysia and Singapore. This will not affect Jaggubhai in any way. The shooting will begin as soon as I return'.

Further, he said the movie which goes to the floors in July will be released in January next since we would be shooting in various places in the country. Politics and cinema are totally different and Rajnikanth is committed to carry on and complete the project, he added.

After PMK's sweep in six constituencies where Rajni fans campaigned against them, it was rumored that the actor has changed his decision to go ahead with the movie.
