'Mariyaan' is wrapping up shooting, and at this stage, sources say that Dhanush had all along been confused, as the whole shooting was done in reverse order. "Two years back, I was working in the selection committee for National Awards. I was flabbergasted by Dhanush's performance, dedication and sincerity, in 'Aadukalam'. This is what inspired me to make him the hero of 'Mariyaan'. Dhanush was finding it quite hard to cope with the flow of the movie, as the entire shooting was done in reverse order, compared to the sequence of the story. However, he has given his best, in bringing out the right sort of emotions, in every scene" says director of the film, Bharat Bala.

'Mariyaan' is a movie highlighting five prime emotions - love, separation, pain, confidence and rise. The movie stars Dhanush and Parvathi Menon in the lead, and has its music composed by AR Rahman. Speaking on the music, the director says "AR Rahman is a good friend of mine. He has absorbed all the emotions and has justly delivered excellent music for each situation, apart from the arresting background score. Poet Vaali has penned down two songs, while Dhanush, Kutti Revathi and Kabilan have written one song each." The film is progressing at a very fast pace, and the team is expected to launch their audio this month; Bharat Bala is optimistic about a May first week release for the movie.
