In the presence of 4000 audience the most expensive historical Kannada film 'Gandugali Kumara Rama' will by screened on Friday night at Dr.Rajkumar auditorium in Baltimore in Maryland, United States of America at the 'AKKA' Vishwa Kannada Sammelana. Dr.Rajkumar Auditorium will be inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka B.S.Yediyurappa.

The top playback singer S.P.Balasubramanyam will be honored with 'Sangeetha Brahma' on this occasion. Ravishanker Guruji of the world famous Art of Living and Dr.Veerendra Heggade receive the crown 'Suvarna Kannadigas'. Dr.Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Dharmasthala flag off the event in a typical Mysore Dasara festival style.

The Kannada film artistes Upendra, Gurukiran, Thara, Ramya, Murali, and Vijayaraghavendra are also taking part in this three day festival of Kannada culture and heritage at Baltimore. T.S.Nagabharana's troupe to play 'Jokumaraswamy' could not get the visa to fly to USA.

Kannada films 'Cyanide', 'Haseena', 'Amrutha Dhaare' will be screened on this occasion.

The first day program on Friday starts at 5.30 pm at Dr.Rajkumar auditorium after two minutes mourning to icon of Kannada cinema. Inaugural song is sung by Ushachar. Dance from Nrutaruthya of Bangalore then follows 'Hasyaloka' comedy show and musical evening from Nandagiri, Arathi Murali of California Shanker Eye Foundation.

Mr Ravi Dankanakote is the President of this year American Kannada Koota Association 'AKKA' festival.
