Directed by Gunasekhar and produced by Aswinidutt on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies, 'Sainikudu' with Maheshbabu and Trisha in the lead was released recently and is running successfully with good collections.

Director Gunasekhar says, 'The flood scenes and the scenes with forest backdrop were shot in the latest Digital Intermediate technology. The scenes would appear on the screen for about an hour. For the first time in the history of Indian cinema, a film was made by using the Digital Intermediate technology. We have shown a novel point in the film called 'civil defence' which was never touched by any others so far on the Indian cinema. We are very happy that the film had remained a technical marvel.'
