Tarun, who earned the lover boy image in no time, had no notable hits to his credit in the recent past. So he kept himself off from the screen for some time.

After a little gap, he is making his reentry into the films with 'Mithrudu' to be produced by Mega Super Good Films. It may be recalled here that Tarun-Super Good combo gave a bit hit like 'Priyamaina Neeku' some time ago.

The film would have a tag line as 'Mee Kosame' and Shahjahan would be the director. The film is the remake of a super hit Tamil film 'Punnagai Desam' and Priyamani of 'Pellaina Kothalo'-fame is pairing opposite Tarun.

The film is being presented by RB Choudary, while NV Prasad and Paras Jain are the producers.

The regular shooting of the film would begin from May 11.
