The heroes hog the all lime lights while heroines create grapevines. All those who remain behind even after doing some really serious work are the rib-tickling actors. Comedians, to put it straight. Comedy as they say is a serious work. This plight was brought out by the most popular humour man of Kollywood, Vivek at the movie launch, ‘Nee Indri Naan Illai’.

He spoke about the disadvantages of being a comedian, with his usual touch of humour. First all, the comedy actors are not given enough publicity when it comes to printing posters. The comedians’ images occupy very small space in the posters, mostly placed in at the bottom end, whereas comic characters too play an important role for the success of the movie. Moreover, when it comes to four-part posters, the comedian’s face gets distorted and in words of Vivek, “his face resembles a car that’s met with an accident.” He further added, “Our troubles don’t stop there. Cattle in the city prefer to the lower part of posters. So, we get eaten up first.” To pacify him, producer AVM Saravanan consoled Vivek that rise in several comedy channels has increased the comedian’s chances of publicity and so he should not worry.

‘Nee Indri Naan Illai’ was launched at AVM Studios in a very grand manner. The mega event was graced by honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Karunanidhi, Director Bhagiyaraj, Actors Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Manorama, Producer AVM Saravanan, Actor Vivek and other team members. Several of these personalities shared their views and experiences with the CM.
