That Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, a legend himself, has always appreciated the good work of his colleagues in the industry without any ego, is well-known. He was all hail for the ability of the Nandamuris, especially "brother NTR", to incredibly fit the bill when it comes donning mythological characters.

ANR said that the great Indian epic Ramayana is a scripture that espoused great human values. "Many themes are interwoven in the Ramayana. I have always held the view that the creator has to be a dab hand. For any film, the director, producer and the musician are the heroes. It is they who have created this film (Sri Rama Rajyam)."

Continuing further, ANR said that the Nandamuris are peerless when it comes to essaying mythological characters. He said that he would always vote NTR for the best one to portray Lord Rama.

The event was attended by Illayaraja, Srikanth (who plays Laxman in the film), along with Rama Naidu, Murali Mohan, Brahmanandam Krishnam Raju, among the noted ones.
