Come January, scarcity of theaters is forcing some producers to think of pushing the release of their movies by at least a week or two. In this category fall at least two big films which were earlier slated to release on the eve of Sankrathi – Balarkishna's Adhinayakudu and Ravi Teja's Nippu. The buzz is that they might be releasing only on the Republic Day.

The Businessman, Bodyguard and Poolarangadu are the ones certainly releasing for the festive season. Of these, the Mahesh Babu-starrer has booked good number of theaters leaving others in the lurch. The most-awaited release of the season, this RR Movie Makers film is already touted as the biggest release in the history of Telugu cinema.

Bodyguard, the Venkatesh-starrer, comes a distant second. Nonetheless, it has its share of theaters in its kitty. Sunil's Poolarangadu is lucky to have got some breathing space.

That said, it must be added that the producers are planning to postpone some releases on this account alone, there is a strategic reason behind it. They do not want to end up losing collections by releasing their movies along with others. By spacing out the releases, it will be win-win for one and all!
