Her performance in Gudumba Shankar has come in for flak. Some critics have said that Meera Jasmine lacks the oomph and glamour to carry a commercial film like Gudumba Shankar. 'Her lack of range stands exposed', is what one critic has said.
Be that as it may, for Meera, recently a National award winner, has proved that talent alone is not enough in this industry. She has underlined her commitment and earnestness by choosing to dub in her own voice.
For somebody, who doesn't know the ABCD of Telugu, this was an attempt worth applauding. At a time when even Telugu girls are resorting to dubbing voiced, Meera's sincerity is indeed praise-worthy.
Whether GS runs or not, Meera has won three cheers.
