Not a remake, it's a straight film for Venkatesh

Of late, Venkatesh has been concentrating more on remakes and multi-starrers. His last release, 'Gopala Gopala', is both a remake and a multi-starrer.

But now Venkatesh is going to do a straight film soon. If reports are to be believed, N.V.Nirmal Kumar, the director of Tamil super hit film, 'Salim', has recently narrated a story to Venkatesh and the actor has immediately given his nod to act in the film. The film is going to be a thriller, according to the sources.

Earlier there were speculations that Venkatesh will remake 'Salim' in Telugu. But Venky backed out of the project and the film is going to release in Telugu as 'Dr.Saleem' soon.
