There have been many speculations around who is going to direct Rajinikanth's next film. Some big directors are supposed to direct Rajini, but the Super Star surprised his fans by giving chance to a director, who is only two films old.

Pa. Ranjith, who earlier directed successful films like 'Attakathi' and Karthi's 'Madras', got the chance to direct Rajinikanth. Kalaipuli S Thanu is going to produce this movie. Rajinikanth badly needs a hit now as his previous two films bombed at the box-office and lets see how the young director Ranjith handles the pressure.
