The river Krishna plays an important role in KKI

Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini, a remake of Kannada movie Charminar, is set for release on June 19. The film has Sudheer Babu and Nanditha playing the lead roles.

Sharing details about the romantic drama, the film`s producer Lagadapati Sridhar says, "The film plays out in the stunning backdrop of river Krishna. The love story and the chemistry between the lead pair will tug at the audience's hearts."

The film is directed by R Chandru, who also directed the original version.
